Line Crossing Stories
Talk about your experience at Realgrey, what has it meant to you?
I've worked at RealGrey both as an intern and an artist. Seeing both sides of the recording process not only allowed me to study the technology, but also learn about how other artists go about what suits them in recording and apply that to my own creative process.
How would you describe the ethos ... experience ... purpose of the studio?
The purpose of any recording studio is to record audio, but RealGrey's purpose lies far beyond that simple concept. For me RealGrey's purpose is the journey to getting that audio recorded and sparking ideas along the way in that creative process. RealGrey is definitely a creativity first environment through and through.
Has the studio influenced your music in any way? If so, how?
The studio has influenced me to try new things in my music, whether it be different instrumentations, rhythms, or technology. RealGrey reinforced in me experimentation as a musician.
