Studio Tours

Starting in the front airlock, Ron Flack, your tour guide takes you through the live room which plays host to the Hammond, the Matte Pack 13 piece custom PDI/Summit Drum kit. He'll take you into the Iso room where the video CCTV and software displays are described. The machine room #2 and the video hardware is shown. We then transition into the original studio which consists of the production room with a variety of keyboards. The last leg of the tour presents the Carl Tatz inspired control room including the PhantomFocus system and a quick look into machine room #1 and the Otari MTR-90 II 2" 24 track tape machine.

Production Room

Realgrey Records will open the doors to their production room, housing an array of iconic instruments. These instruments include the Everett upright grand, a Mark I Rhodes, the Korg SV1, Korg 01/W Pro (utilized as a MIDI controller), and the Novation Impulse 61.

New Live Room, Drum Cove and Isolation booth

The centerpiece of this event is the unveiling of the new live room, meticulously crafted from century-old reclaimed timber sourced from the original carriage house that inspired the studio's name. Every aspect of this live room has been carefully designed to represent the space's history and character.

Adjacent to the live room is the drum cove, home to the custom-built “Matte Pack” drum kit – a 13-piece collaboration between PDI and Summit Drums, offering a truly captivating acoustic experience.

The iso booth provides a 6-foot glass door, that directly connects to the live room, ensuring a clear view of all performing artists. For vocal recording enthusiasts, the iso booth hosts our flagship microphone, the Mojave MA-1000 tube microphone, renowned for its exceptional sound quality.

Live Music | Lila Farris (3:00PM)

In this first release from Lila Farris, Better Things to Come, you’ll hear a depth in lyrical content that is beautifully canvased with a voice that is beyond her years. Lila wrote and arranged all the songs and coproduced with the help of Ron Flack who also tracked and mixed. Mastered by Spencer Martin in Seoul, South Korea.

Live Music | Josh Compton "a ship at sea" (5:00PM)

This was the very first project we did under the name “Realgrey Records”. Recorded mostly by Ron Flack in his living room studio, with bits and pieces recorded by Ryan Gerber and Benjamin Payne in their homes. Songs 2 and 7 recorded by Matt Kurtz in his bedroom. Mixed by Ron Flack and Josh Compton with help from Ryan Gerber, Benjamin Payne and Matt Kurtz. Mastered by Benjamin Payne.

Live Music | Cody J. Martin (7:00 PM)

Cody J. Martin is a singer/songwriter from Massillon, OH. He writes songs that rest where folk, blues and country music intersect. For just under a decade, Martin has been performing his aggressive, often finger-picked tunes to audiences throughout his home state and around the country.
